Cabbage Kalibos
An old Eastern European heirloom variety producing unique, red pointed hearts. Best grown for late summer and autumn use when firm, solid hearts have few waste outer leaves. Ideal shredded raw in salads.

Sow in April/May, thinly 13mm (0.5”) deep in a seed bed in rows 15cm (6”) apart. Thin to 7.5cm (3”) apart.

Transplant in late June/July to growing position when plants have five or six true leaves, setting the lowest leaves at ground level. Plant 45cm (18”) apart.

Cabbages are harvested by cutting through the stem at ground level with a sharp knife.
