Sow March to August. Sow thinly 13mm (½”) deep in drills 30cm (12”) apart in soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Best sown at two week intervals to give a steady supply.
When large enough to
handle, thin out seedlings to 30cm (12”) apart.
Keep well watered during spells of dry weather.
Harvest a few leaves from each plant, or if for full hearts when they feel firm when gently
pressed.
