Sow seeds 2.5cm (1”) deep outdoors in late May or early June where they are to grow, allowing 60cm (2ft) between sowing positions.
Feed every 10-14 days with a high potash liquid fertiliser
once the first fruits start to swell.
Harvest from August to November.
One of the most versatile of all vegetables. They may be used in any way that a potato can, and stored all winter in
a frost free place. Try baking in foil like a jacket potato.
