All our plants are grown on the nursery in a peat-free compost.

February,  March and April are our busiest months for propagation.

By May, 90% of our plants are outside on the standing-out beds.

The nursery is almost 1000ft above sea level, and so the ambient temperature is always 2 or 3 degrees colder than in Taunton.

We overlook the Culm Valley and so get very strong south-westerly winds.

This ensures a stronger and healthier plant ready to take to the shows.
